A large part of my artistic expression addresses the intricate navigation of being a queer black individual in America. Living in some of the most dangerous neighborhoods of LA, I aim to capture the beauty in elements that the mainstream often disregards. My artwork typically employs a 2D animation style, where I create a unique universe that celebrates Black identity, various skin tones, queer culture, and femininity. My creations seek to uplift communities that are frequently misrepresented in modern society.

Moreover, my art is deeply rooted in my African American culture and traditions that have been preserved and reimagined over time, tracing back to African origins. It draws heavily from the resilience that African Americans have shown while living in America. My work reflects the complex relationship of lacking a physical homeland, yet feeling a connection to a land that my ancestors built, while also being subjected to genocide through slavery. Despite the challenges and hardships faced by my community, my art serves as a reflection of positive reframing, suggesting that by changing our perspective on a situation, we can discover a more positive or constructive meaning. My art is the silver lining, as nothing has or will deter my creative journey. Currently, with limited access to high-quality materials, I have embraced unconventional mediums and everyday objects to craft captivating stories within my art. My work embodies a sense of ghetto fabulousness, blending my queerness with street style to challenge the perceptions of what it means to be black while embracing joy. My art challenges our worldview and how external influences shape our thinking. It is a constant source of motivation for me, serving as a powerful means to express emotions, promote understanding, and assist individuals in navigating through challenging experiences—something I have learned is vital as a queer black man living in America.
